Research Analyst
Shibo Gu joined Forstrong’s Investment Team in 2021 and is responsible for conducting quantitative analysis on the investment themes and theses developed through Forstrong’s proprietary, top-down global macro process.
Additionally, Shibo specializes in researching opportunity investments that are integral to Forstrong’s construction of unique proprietary portfolios.
Prior to joining Forstrong, Shibo worked as a research analyst for large financial institutions in Toronto and China. Fluent in Mandarin and English, Shibo earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Nankai University and his Master of Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University.
An accomplished violin player, Shibo loves watching American football games and is a big fan of local sports clubs, namely Raptors, Jays and Leafs.
