Ken Hawkins

Research Manager

Ken’s 30 plus years’ experience in the investment management industry informs his role as senior member of Frostrong’s Investment Committee responsible for quantitative analysis. He is responsible for ensuring that internal and external databases are updated.

Prior to joining Forstrong, Ken was Chief Investment Strategist at Weigh House Investor Services. Earlier, he was a portfolio manager with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, managing a Canadian equity portfolio. He was also a top-ranked quantitative analyst/strategist with Scotia Capital and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, providing equity research and insights for institutional clients. Ken graduated with Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Manitoba.

Originally from Winnipeg, Ken enjoys taking his dogs on epic walks in his adopted province of British Columbia. Ken co-authored the book ‘New Rules of Retirement’ published by Harper Collins.
